In most cases, the installation method chosen is based on your projects specific needs. In many major metropolitan areas, hot asphalt kettles and excessive odor are no longer tolerated. In these situations, a self adhered or cold applied application works best. In areas where high winds are a concern, mechanically fastened roofing assemblies utilizing a product such as Soprafix or Soprafix E greatly reduce the risk of serious damage due to high wind.
