SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Investing in the next generation dedicated to the building envelope.
SOPREMA established its scholarship program as a commitment to the continued success and growth of our industry by investing in the next generation dedicated to the building envelope and construction-related fields. The SOPREMA Scholarship assists undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a similar field at an accredited college or university.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants to the SOPREMA Scholarship Program must be:
High school seniors, or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate or graduate students, pursuing a degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a similar field*.
*Similar field must be applicable to those seeking a career related to the building envelope and construction-related fields (i.e., roofing, wall systems, below-grade waterproofing, etc.). Exceptions may be considered by SOPREMA upon request. Applicants pursuing a different degree should briefly explain how their field relates to a building industry career.
Planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year.
SOPREMA employees and their family members are ineligible.
APPLICATION
Submission must include the following to be considered a complete application:
- Essay
- Two instructor references
- An unofficial transcript
- Expected date of college graduation
The essay is a two-part question, and answers must be between 1,000-1,500 words. Essays outside of this range will be automatically disqualified:
What has influenced your decision to pursue a career in the buildingenvelope and construction-related fields?
How do you think the building industry can become more sustainable or innovative, and how do you hope to contribute to that in your career?
Please give details about yourself in the essay.

AWARDS
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to five (5) awards will be granted nationwide. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
DEADLINE
Completed applications must be received by May 1 each year.
